It’s hard to say of course. But Makele should have been out on the 32th minute. I personally don’t think you guys could have changed the outcome playing against that Dutch team for 58 minutes with 10 guys even if you have gotten that penalty for a 1-1. But again, really thankful we won with 4-1, otherwise this discussion would have probably been a lot uglier.

I’m biased of course, though the game was close and it could have gone either way, our goal scoring abilities were a bit better than France that game. So in the end I still think we deserved it more, no matter what. Apart from Henry’s goal, that handball incident and one more shot that bounced off VdS’ leg, I can’t remember any other shot that was actually threatening from France.

i didnt aspect that they play so well!
in the qualifications they played not so good

i thought they had no change in the Euro 08
i didnt bet on the dutch before the beginning of the euro 08

but when i look to the team.. there are no individuals!
its a real team ( just as south korea @ the WC 2002 )
normaly the dutch team is individual all ego’s

they won! so stop the crap with analysing the game

The dutch playing a great tournament!
They play since 1988 with teamspirit and heart!

And on top of that they play great football!
nice counters!

A penalty is an almost certain goal, a red card doesn’t actually guarantee you a goal-scoring opportunity.

I only saw Ooijer touching the ball with his hands once while trying to block the ball with his body, but if you it was twice, maybe it was. But I still think it wasn’t on purpose so a red card would be too much, but a penalty should have been awarded since it doesn’t matter if the hands is intentionally or not.

And I think we’ll beat Romania, van Basten and the whole team will want to win.

Lol Migloigle. What i meant is that Ooijer counter the ball a first time on a Govou shoot, the ball rebounded on Henry who shooted, and he jumped, countered a second time the ball with the hand. Two hands in the same movement, it is a little bit too much i think for an “accidental hand”.

But migloigle you need to be a passionate oranje to not understand that in this kind of action, of “hand unvolontuary” (really two hands in the same action by the same player on two simultaneous shoots on goal) a red card is usually used too.
