Being a scotland fan I can understand how disapointed a swiss fan must feel at the minute they were the better team, although have nothing to show for it. When it gets to big games in big tournaments the big teams just seam to find a way of getting through, despite a bad performance. I think Czech’s will go though but we will see better from them in the tournament, there will come a point where koller will have to be benched and this is when we will see the best of the Czech’s.

My prediction was a draw. Anyway, Swiss team was equal to Czech Republic. I’m looking forward to Portugal – Turkey match anyway. I hope for good match with lot of goals.

Not very impressive on the Czech side, but they got the win. And the bit about the Swiss fan picking his nose was one of my highlights. Shame about Frei though, he looked quite in form there for a bit.

although i wouldn’t have called either of those ujfalusi “handballs” either. vonlanthen should’ve hit the net on that one chance of course. hats off to the swiss backline though, tricky for them on the goal with the active/passive offside bit, but i thought magnin was man of the match. they’ve still got a chance if you ask me.

Disappointed Switzerland didn’t win or at least draw! They were playing so well. Dear God, what’s with the camera person staying on that person who was picking their nose? That is disgusting and nobody wants to see that and it’s embarrassing.

We’ve never been much of a lucky team, just look at the game vs. Ukraine
I’m also afraid that the players will lose their confidence: you dominate a game, your opponent scores on their only shot, you don’t get two penalty calls, the ball hits the crossbar and Frei got injured.

What about the three yellow cards? Great to get three of those at the first game. I think the referee should have understood the terrible emotional situation for Switzerland.

The Czechs did not deserve to win that one, they looked unimpressive, they weren’t even trying to win. Poor Switzerland.
