I think portugal have a great team…beautiful football and very secure! Pepe is extraordinary and the “dogfighter” Petit very hard to pass over even better then Gattuso from Italy…and they have great players like C.Ronaldo, simao, Quaresma, deco and nani ,who can make the diference ,we’ll have a Portugal-Croatia for quarters!

I have yet to hear any comments concerning Croatia from any pundits which deal with the lack of midfield provision in the Austria game. In the squad is undoubtedly the most exciting young player for years – another potential David Beckham – who has the ability no other young guy in Europe has. When will Bilic play Ivan Rakitic = he has proved his ability in big games for Schalke and now it is his time in Europe. Please Mr Bilic do not go down the road of refusing to give youth its chance – you will regret it.

“Fiery” would be a closer translation of “Varteni”, not The Blazers…In the nuance of the Croatian language “Varteni” has the implication of someone with a spark, a desire to push foreward, someone with fire in their heart and that exudes spirit. Blazer would just imply something that shines brightly, I think.
