People always refer to Switzerland as the second weakest team, because of the FIFA ranking. Either these people have a short memory or don't know all THAT much about football. Switzerland currently is on postion 48, because they had a limited amount of games during the last two years - all of them friendlies. Not exactly the perfect way to rack-up points for the FIFA ranking. I would like to remind you: after the WC06, Switzerland ranked 13th in the world and 9th in Europe. Ahead of EC08 competitors Sweden, Croatia, Romania, Turkey, Poland, Greece, Russia and Austria. I figure, Switzerland has a decent team - the question is only, can they swtich from 'friendly' to competitive mode in time. Can I also point somethingelse out here.
