Looks like Adidas have gone for incorporating the rooster into the France shirt a bit more. See how the plume runs across the chest? I’d argue it’s a nice way of doing something a bit different without looking like a fashion disaster.

Very bold and very oranje, as all Netherlands shirts are. That’s what makes the team so distinctive. Only down side is that the sheer oranjeness doesn’t leave a whole lot of room for maneuver design wise. So Nike have gone with an asymetrical collar, red and white stripes on one, plain on the other.

The Puma template strikes again. Shirt colour, puma logo, and some different colour trimming. Nothing really wrong wrong with this Italy shirt. The gold trim goes nicely with the azure blue and having the Puma logo in gold to match is a nice touch. I just wish it wasn’t the same design as the other four Puma shirts.

I wanted very much to like this, but I just can’t. True, yellow is hard to work with, but I think having the Adidas logo almost on the throat makes this Romania shirt look more like a training top than a national team jersey.
Now vote for your favourite:
Voting is now closed. Results are as follows:
1. Italy 37%
2. Romania 31%
3. Netherlands 21%
4. France 11%
So a late rally causes a huge upset in the Group of Death, and Romania’s training top jersey joins Italy in the quarterfinals. France finish bottom. Is this an eerie foreshadowing of events in the real Group C?

In a statement that will please Laurie after I said France wouldn’t get through the other day, I really like the French shirt. And the away kit is how to do a red shirt! I also really like the Holland shirt! This really is the Group of Death as the Italian shirt is alright as well.

Italia, of course.

I voted France, my faveourite shirt by far. Italy has same Puma design as shirts from A and B, just with a different colour (although a nice colour at that). Holland shirt is okay, but I dont like the collar design….
And Romania… almost exactly the same as a football club I used to play for, which I never liked wearing, so definitely not getting vote

seriously, nothing beats the old italy wetsuit-look shirt

Close fight at the moment. 23-23-22. Likely to be this close in the actual tournement

Sorry, Romania. As much as I want the team to do well in the tournament itself, I’ve never much liked yellow kits. And the red bit on the sides looks like a wound or something. Went with France.

Okay, I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t do fashion. I never owned a Barbie doll. (Well, I had one, but I mostly tried to make her ride horses. She didn’t do fashion either.)
But that Netherlands collar is just bizarre. Collars on sports jerseys aren’t something designers should get creative with.
France all the way!!

Oh, and I just clicked on the jersey link? They’re selling Trezeguet jerseys. Yeesh. I think he’s played one game in the new kit — the friendly against England — and his performance was rather underwhelming. And he didn’t even make the initial list for Euros, let alone the final cut.
I’m embarrassed for the shirt designers. Unless they’re doing an imaginary player for all teams, in which case… Interesting marketing move.

Oh, final P.S. I swear. I just clicked on France “special offers,” and they’re still offering an old Giuly jersey.
GIULY?!?!? He hasn’t played for France since he hit on Domenech’s wife, and that was years ago!

I like how Totti is on the back on the Italy jersey. ahahah

Even more stupid Laurie is that they advertise the new French shirt with ‘Cantona’ on the back…. As much as I idolised him when I was younger, he did have problems with the french team and I dont think he warrants a name on the new shirt.
You wouldnt see the new England kit with Gazza, Linekar, etc on the back. [Insert joke about failure to qualify here]

Anyone notice that Totti is the jersey name on the ad for the Jersey. Very Ironic that he will never wear that jersey!?

guess i am not the only one who saw it.

Holland have stormed into the lead!

I like the collar on the Holland shirt actually.

I like all four shirts. ALthough yellow is a little girly and the the italian shirt will be surrounded by greasy hair. I choose France and Holland.

I voted France because the Italy shirt just looks terrible in the flash (looks alright on the pic though)

warning, you are such a baboon. you are whats wrong with the world. God, put this hater out of his misery. anyway, i cant beleive the orange jerzy is winning..i mean, its orange.

Whilst I had fun learning about the German team (on jersey pole group B), I decided to have a look at the teams from this group:
France:
Mandanda + Makelele – Zaire (Congo)
Boumsong – Cameroon
Evra + Vieira – Senegal
Italy:
Camorenesi – Argentina
Perrotta – England (We can still win – ish – maybe)
Holland: ALL Dutch-born
Romania: ALL Romanian-born

At least the Italian jersey is not a turtleneck like usual. Im sure they are happy with the change. Why does it look like there are sweat stains on the front. Did Totti use it in training?

Romania have a late surge in votes, meaning France (the shirt I liked best) could end up bottom.

The Group of Death: That applies to the shirts as well; some really nice ones. France is last at the moment but I think it’s really stylish. I voted for Romania though.

Romania seems like it is going through, I must say I am surprised, but glad that Holland isnt going through. As I have already mentioned, the collar just ruins it!

Just to say I am amazed by the amount of votes on this poll! 786 votes?!? Brilliant

There’s clearly some cheating going on.
