Euro 2008 Quarterfinal Schedule
Euro 2008 group stages, we need to talk. We’ve been together now for 11 days, and they’ve been some of the best 11 days of my football-watching life. But I think I need a change.
I won’t give you the old “it’s not you it’s me” speech. It’s definitely you.
You’re just too… complicated. Three way head to head ties, goal difference, goals scored and all that. It’s too much. I feel smothered.
So I’m leaving you. It was nice while it lasted but I’m at that stage in my life where I want something straightforward, something decisive. Something with a bit of cutting edge. Something like… knockout football.

Oh yes, the quarterfinals are here. After ninety minutes, the winner goes through. And if there’s no winner after 90 minutes: extra time and penalties. The very best kind of football.

I wouldn’t say the best 11 days.. more like mediocre first week or two and a bit nicer after that.
