Yeah, MOM to Rustu, except when he decided to do a spot-on imitation of Pepe Reina, sending me into PTSD-like flashback mode. That save on Srna’s free kick was one of the better saves I’ve seen this tournament, and definitely the best save in the tournament by a guy wearing a bird’s nest on his head. And he obviously had the decisive save in the shootout. Although I’m convinced Fatih and Slaven went halfsies on a 100G bet for this game.

i was talking about PortugalFan in this case, but you’ve done it numerous times elsewhere. And can’t you just drop it already? Rustu would be my man of the match for sentimental reasons, but he did pull a Nikopolidis for the first goal, didn’t he? he must feel blessed to get the chance to make up for that. Then again, Modric was the best player but also screwed up in the penalties. So, though I hate giving it to the losing team, Simunic was absolutely rock solid. he deserves it.
