Italy and Spain keepers Gigi Buffon and Iker Casillas pass as they change plcaes between penalties. Buffon saved one but Casillas had the better of it, with Spain winning 4-2 on spot kicks.

heartbreaker. but what a boring game. disgusted that danielino missed. it was a well taken penalty too. since he scored in the world cup, his penalty taking has deteriorated.

did anyone notice buffon save a shot from fabregas when he was ruled offside but continued to play on anyway? he stopped a point blank rocket with one hand in the most effortless motion possible. i want to see that again.

He did that in one of the last matches as well, I think it was against Romania. The man has arms and hands made of steel.

Can I just say that I finally believe that there is a Football God. Not just that Italy go punished for their ultra negative football, that is one thing. But I was so happy that Di Natale missed his penalty. A player who is off the pitch injured and crawls back onto the field to interrupt an attack by the opposition should be banned for a few games. It’s disgusting.
