No Little Mozart at Euro 2008
Euro 2008 will have one less creative midfielder. Tomáš Rosický – the Little Mozart – will definitely miss the tournament, as the dodgy hamstring that’s been troubling the Arsenal midfielder since January now needs operating on.
It was always touch and go whether the Czech captain would make the tournament, but now it’s officially a no go.
“I must announce that I will not be capable of playing at Euro 2008. My injury requires surgery which I will undergo at the start of next week,” Rosicky told CTK.
“There is no other solution to the problem than undergoing surgery.”
So instead of slicing open Swiss, Portuguese and Turkish defences, he’s going to lie on a table and have the back of his leg sliced open.
Sorry if that’s a bit graphic.
Bad news for Czech fans and bad news for football fans, because Rosický is the type of player that helps makes a tournament exciting. Here’s a little taste of what we’ll be missing.
And not only that, but a Rosický with healthy hamstrings is fast enough to catch Cristiano Ronaldo…

It’s depressing that he won’t be able to play, but I hope the surgery works. I want him to play a whole season so badly.

if anything is grafic its borussias socks! Behind Nedved, Rosicky is the best Czech Player ever. (field player, not counting cech) If the US wasnt in that group for the World Cup, i would have hoped for them to progress w/ italy, too bad
