Paradise City for Euro 2008 Opening Song?

I guess it fits. The grass is certainly green in SwissAustria, and by all accounts, the girls are pretty. There is a poll going on right now on Swiss radio station DRS 3, to choose the opening song for Euro 2008. Currently leading the votes is none other than Axl Rose (no relation) and Guns N’ Roses with “Paradise City”. Whether you think this is the most awesome thing in history, or see it as a yet another sign of the decline of Western civilization, get over to DRS and vote. The other nominees are “Bring en Hei” by Baschis and Ole Ole by DJ Bobo. Granted, Ole would certainly get the traditional vote, but why not start off the football event of the summer with the high-pitched scream of Axl, and the grinding guitar work of (pre-Snakepit) Slash? Either way, it is apparently up to you, so get over there and rock the vote.

Guns N’ Roses is better with “Better” Better is the best Song of UEFA Euro 2008 Yeah. naja Paradise City is awesome too. Take me down to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty yeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaa
