Vote: Which Euro 2008 Team Bus Has the Best Slogan?
Over at UEFA’s Euro 2008 website, fans of all 16 teams have voted on which slogans to emblazon on the team buses. The results are pretty revealing.
German fans for example, went for the all business “Germany – one team – one purpose” slogan, which seems to sum up the German team’s confidence and determination. Turkish fans expressed their famous passion with a metaphysical quastion: “Can this bus contain the passion of Turkey?” while Romanian fans are apparently just happy to be there: “Romania, we are proud of you and we love you.”
Meanwhile Spanish fans are apparently bracing themselves for disappointment with the ominous “Whatever happens, SPAIN FOREVER.”
Read on to see the slogans as they appear on the buses, and vote for you favourite in the poll at the bottom…
Group A

Switzerland – Final destination: Vienna

Czech Republic – Let’s go, let’s win, let’s fulfil our nation’s dream!

Portugal – This coach is driven by the Will to Win

Turkey – Would passion of Turkey fit into this bus?
Group B

Austria – Only together we can win…!

Croatia – With the fans to the top of Europe

Germany – Germany – one team – one purpose

Poland – … because only sport and good fun counts!
Group C

Romania – Romania, we are proud of you and love you!

France – Live together, celebrate together

Netherlands – 1 mission, 1 feeling, together we are orange

Italy – The sky is always bluer
Group D

Spain – Whatever happens, SPAIN ALWAYS

Russia – Russian hands are all for one! Russia’s proud of her sons!

Greece – One team one dream!

Sweden – Sweden’s team, what a dream.

Thanks pedro, agree it’s great.
We’ll post that separately tomorrow so everyone can see it.

Daryl, it’s all lined up for tomorrow. Pedro’s a frigging font of information. He’s a top commenter and makes me feel warm and fuzzy since he’s basically one of three people who acknowledge the presence of my Portuguese football bloggings.

FRA: Live together, celebrate together
Sigh.
They will never, ever beat WC ‘06 slogan, the exquisite “Liberté, égalité, Jules Rimet.”
