Weekly Poll: Who Will Win Euro 2008?

If Offside and World Cup blog readers are be be believed, Italy will win Euro 2008. They finished first in last week’s poll with 18% of the vote. Portugal was right behind with 16%, and Spain and Germany finished third and fourth with 14 each. Again, if you don’t like those numbers, this is a new week and a new poll. Round up fans of your team and vote below!

A few things that have happened this week that could affect your choice:

Austria has a “fan” group trying to get them to pull out of the competition. But they beat Cuba in a friendly.

Croatia’s National Team is gathering at last.

France has released their preliminary squad list. And no Trezeguet.

Germany has picked their squad, and they’ve been busy training in Mallorca.

Greece has named its squad, and is getting ready for a friendly with Hungary. But no Ninis.

Italy has also released its squad list, and it includes the insane, and insanely talented, Antonio Cassano.

Netherlands is playing a friendly with Ukraine. And Van Basten will only call up fit players.

Poland starts training camp, and beats Swiss second division team FC Schaffhausen in a game our Poland blogger Tomasz called a Picnic without the pleasure.

Portugal is wondering after Ronaldo’s Champions League mess: Who’s taking the penalties?

Romania doesn’t need no stinkin’ bonus as incentive to win. And Petre is out.

Russia will be dropping three and bringing in one. But Denisov won’t be coming.

Spain has gained the support of Maradona. What more could they possibly need? And Raul will definitely not be making the Euro journey.

Switzerland has had some injury blows.

Turkey. Don’t know the team? Read Daryl’s profile.

And now it’s time for your vote. Who will win Euro 2008?

And don’t forget to pick your winner of Euro 2008 in our prediction competition. You could win some awesome prizes.

I very much doubt that English people would vote for the team that stopped them qualifying. I voted for Germany today, but have also voted for Italy and Portugal over the past few days, I cant make up my mind. Cant wait for the games to begin

I’m hoping for the Netherlands but realistically Italy will be one of the teams to beat!

I’m from Croatia but I voted for Germany. I’m just being realistic. Croatia is such a mess after Eduardo Da Silva was injured in England. Champion will be Germany or Netherlands. Just my 2 cents.
